ABOUT Kim
As someone who can be “up in their head” as a survival strategy, I know both the value and struggle of embodied healing. My name is Kim Gengler and I developed the Rhythms of Resource to first help myself, then others, come back to their ability to thrive, rather than just survive. With my background in somatic psychotherapy (I’m an LMFT) and two decades of yoga and conscious dance practice, I hold trauma-informed space for others to heal and grow while being connected to the divine.
A long-time mover (yoga, conscious dance, and qigong), I’ve always felt the power of embodiment to create change. My own somatic journey really took off when I began combining somatic psychotherapy principles with movement modalities. Through study, practice, and experimentation, I found movements that helped me create the changes I wanted in my own life. The more time I spent working with macro, medial, and micro-movements via The Rhythms of Resource, the more I’ve been able to overcome anxiety, self-hatred, and self-sabotage while also deepening my connection to the divine. Through my psychotherapy and coaching, I’ve helped others do the same and more. Practicing The Rhythms of Resource has bought boundless meaning and healing to my life. I look forward to sharing its power with you. I am honored that you are here, exploring how you can live with more vitality via the resources within.

WHY EMBODIMENT?
-
Marco
Macro movements are the big moments you do all the time to make things happen in your life. For the most part, you just do them OR you bring more attention to them during certain circumstances (yoga classes, working out, dancing, biking, etc.). You can learn how to make these big movements do more "heavy lifting" when you need more resources to get through your day. You also don't have to go to a class or spend tons of time doing macro movements that can greatly benefit your wellbeing. I can show you how.

Medial
Unlike macro-movements, medial movements get even less attention from us. These are the gestures, facial expressions, wiggles, and generally unconscious movements that inform your day-to-day. When you bring more practiced attention to these movements, you start to see "how" you create certain self states. This allows you to use movements to influence your mood, and again, resource yourself for the task at hand without having to stop what you're doing. Here you can start to bring what is unconscious into consciousness for more wellbeing.

MIRCO
Even more subtle, micro-movements are the tiny movements that you might not even realize you're doing. When engaged with intentionally, these movements can help you shift deep unconscious patterns that maybe holding you back or undermining your wellbeing. Working with these movements can also help you "clear out" your subconscious and connect with something greater than yourself. Here The Rhythms of Resource become a daily practice of personal and transpersonal inspiration for more presence, play, purpose, persistence, and peace.
